Andrea M. Brownridge, MD JD MHA

Dr. Andrea Brownridge is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Before beginning her career as a physician, she practiced law for five years in her hometown of Atlanta Georgia. She attended Georgia Tech as an undergraduate, and earned her degree in Industrial Engineering. She later earned her juris doctor from Georgia State University. She answered her calling for a career in medicine in 2005, and graduated from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in 2010. Returning to Atlanta, she completed her adult psychiatry residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, before electing to “figure out how her adult patients came to be” by pursuing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Florida. Dr. Brownridge has a special interest in depression and other mood disorders, and is a strong advocate of integrated care with an emphasis on good nutrition, regular exercise, and cognitive therapy. Dr. Brownridge is board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She works out of our Oviedo/Winter Springs office.
